Yeah, get is an amazing word. We can't think of any word in Portuguese or Chinese like get.

Pay attention to your day:

You get up in the morning, then you get in the shower,
you get dressed, you get some coffee and get outside.

You're always in a rush because you can't get to the office late.
So, you get on the bus until it's time to get off.

You get to a company, where you are supposed to get along with your coworkers and get all the work done.

By noon, you probably start getting hungry.

At the end of the day, you get tired.

And, unless you're a workaholic, you want to get away from the office and get together with your friends.

Repeat after us: GET.

And what do you expect from a kid that is brought up hearing get so often? Just imagine parents discussing about their kids. One asks: “What was the first word John said: mommy or daddy?” And then the other answers: “Oh, actually, he said get.”
